Pouliot not part of the plans?

With the draft approaching and the free agent frenzy set to begin soon, there are still a few question marks left in Montreal's camp with regards to the RFAs and the UFAs.  Benoit Pouliot is one of those question marks.  The 24 year old winger is currently an RFA and from all indications, there has been no offers made to him and no negotiations have taken place.  It seems likely that Benny is not part of Montreal's plans for the 2011-2012 season.

Desharnais & Wisniewski take therapy days

The Habs were at the Complex Sportif Bell in Brossard today with both ice rinks occupied, but without the rookie forward David Desharnais and defenseman James Wisniewski.  In what may end up being the last practice at the Complex sportif for the team, both players were excused for "therapy" reasons.  For the Habs though, it's 2009-2010 playoffs all over again.  They will be facing an elimination game tomorrow at the Bell Center against the Boston Bruins in what promises to be an exciting game and if the puck bounces their way, they may end up returning the follo

The Montreal Canadiens have just announced that defenceman James Wisniewski has been acquired from the New York Islanders in return for a compensatory second round pick in 2011 and a conditional fifth round pick in 2012.   Wisniewski will be joining the team on Wednesday when the Habs take on the Tampa Bay Lightning on the second last game of their longest road trip of the season.
