Amit Malhotra © HiDHabs had a well deserved two days off after they won two consecutive matches against the Sabres and the Senators over the weekend. They resumed their practice today at the Complex Sportif Bell in Brossard, Quebec. From the look of things, Coach Martin seems to be juggling with the lines again in an effort to get the Gomez-Gionta duo going. Their usual partner in crime, Benoit Pouliot, was demoted to the fourth line after the line failed to produce in the first three games. He was replaced by Travis Moen but it was not enough to get the duo going again which resulted in Moen being replaced back by Pouliot in the third period against the Senators. Gomez and Gionta were seen in the company of Tom Pyatt at the practice today. Pyatt was a healthy scratch in the game against the Senators Saturday night. Benoit Pouliot found himself alongside Halpern and Lapierre while Travis Moen was seen in the company of Dustin Boyd and Lars Eller.
As far as the defence is concerned, no changes were seen and Ryan O'Byrne was skating in the company of Andrei Markov. Barring Markov's return to the line-up, this can only mean that O'Byrne will be a healthy scratch again when the Habs resume their season on Thursday against the New Jersey Devils.
Today's Practice Lines:
Gomez-Gionta-Pyatt
Plekanec-Kostitsyn-Cammalleri
Pouliot-Halpern-Lapierre
Boyd-Moen-Eller
